Unfortunately continuing concerns and restrictions for Covid resulted in the need to drastically reduce the number of classes in this year’s show. The Society regretted that it had not been possible to run a Show in 2020 because of Covid restrictions and felt it was essential that some commitment be made to running a Show, albeit much reduced in size, this year.
Entries were restricted to members only for this year to ensure that numbers of people attending were kept to a minimum. Unfortunately this also meant that the Prize presentation was restricted to members and their guests rather than being open to the general public. The small number of classes also meant that it would not be appropriate to invite our usual judges but committee members from the Tettenhall Horticultural Society kindly agreed to perform all judging tasks for us.
Despite these limitations there was still a good turnout and entries in the reduced number of classes were more or less what would have been expected in a full show. The standard of entries was of the usual high standard and our volunteer judges especially enjoyed sampling our Home Produce classes.
