Entries for this year’s show were once again higher than previous years and follows a trend of increased entries. Once again, all of the judges were very impressed with the quality of entries in all classes and felt that many entries would not have been out of place at National shows. Vegetables and fruit were the most popular classes and attracted entries from both members and a small number of non-members.

Feedback from judges (where provided)
Good composition and sharply in focus. Good use of light and shade. Well captured moment in time. Good depth of field, colour and detail. Beautifully sharp with well handled colours. Good detail inside of flower.
Wax discs are not necessary with screw top jars.
Fill jar to top to avoid air space when set.
Do not use jars with trade names on them.
Record date as Day, Month, Year on jars.
Scones should have a “waist” so should twist off rather than being cut.
